Free local browser toolCheck a ChatSnapAI certified export — or calculate any file’s SHA-256.
This page has two different tools. The first is specifically for ChatSnapAI Certified and Compliance TXT exports. The second can hash any file type when you need a SHA-256 fingerprint. Everything happens in this browser tab; the selected file is not uploaded to ChatSnapAI or another service.

Which tool should I use?Start with the file you actually have.
You do not need to understand cryptography. Pick the situation that matches your file.
01I exported a Certified or Compliance TXT from ChatSnapAI
Use Certified Export Verifier. ChatSnapAI puts a SHA-256 certificate inside these special TXT exports. This tool recalculates the conversation fingerprint and tells you whether that certified conversation body still matches the certificate.
Use for: ChatSnapAI Certified TXT · Compliance TXT02I have any ordinary file and a trusted SHA-256 to compare
Use SHA-256 File Hash. It works with PDFs, ZIPs, installers, backups, images, documents, and other local files. Calculate the file’s digest, then compare it with a fingerprint published or supplied by a source you trust.
Use for: PDFs · ZIPs · backups · downloads · almost any file03I only have a normal ChatSnapAI export
A regular PDF, Word, Markdown, JSON, CSV, HTML, EPUB, PNG, or ordinary TXT export is not a Certified export. You can still calculate its SHA-256 with the general file-hash tool, but there is no built-in ChatSnapAI certificate to compare unless you previously recorded a trusted digest.
Important: hashing a file is not the same as proving who created it.
What this provesIntegrity, not authorship.
A matching SHA-256 fingerprint means the hashed content matches the digest that was recorded. It does not prove who wrote a conversation, whether an AI answer was correct, or whether a timestamp came from an independent trusted authority.

- The tool finds the ChatSnapAI Certificate of Integrity marker.
- It takes the conversation body before that marker and removes trailing whitespace, matching the extension.
- It calculates SHA-256 locally with the browser Web Crypto API.
- It compares the result with the fingerprint printed in the certificate.
Privacy FAQDoes the file upload anywhere?
No. The page uses the browser File API and Web Crypto API. The selected file is processed in memory in your browser.
Can this verify a normal PDF, ZIP, or download?
Yes, with an important distinction: the second tool calculates that file’s standard SHA-256 digest. You verify it by comparing the result with a trusted digest from the publisher or sender. A matching hash checks file integrity; it does not identify the author.
Why can a text edit fail verification?
SHA-256 is sensitive to every byte. Even whitespace or line-ending changes can create a different digest.
Is this a digital signature?
No. ChatSnapAI Certified exports provide an on-device integrity fingerprint, not a notarized identity signature.
