1

Open the official ChatSnapAI listing for your browser

Use the official Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Edge Add-ons listing for your browser. Avoid unofficial download or mirror sites.

2

Add the extension to your browser

Your browser store will show the permissions requested by ChatSnapAI. Review them, then confirm the installation. Chrome labels the action “Add to Chrome”; Microsoft Edge labels it “Get”.

3

Open a supported AI conversation

Go to ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini and open the conversation you want to work with. If that tab was already open before installation, refresh the page once so ChatSnapAI can attach to the current page.

4

Open ChatSnapAI from the browser toolbar

Use your browser’s Extensions menu to open ChatSnapAI. You can pin ChatSnapAI to the toolbar if you want its icon visible all the time.

5

Start with Free, or activate Pro

The Free edition is ready without a paid license. If you purchase Pro, use the license-key activation flow inside ChatSnapAI. One Pro license supports up to two activated devices.

Troubleshooting

If something does not look right.

Most first-run issues are quick to resolve. Start with the item that matches what you see.

ChatSnapAI is not visible

Open your browser’s Extensions menu and confirm ChatSnapAI is enabled. Pin it if you want the icon to remain visible on the toolbar.

The AI page was already open

Refresh the ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini tab once after installing or updating ChatSnapAI, then reopen the extension.

No conversation is detected

Make sure you are inside an actual conversation—not a home, search, settings, or account page. Let the conversation finish loading, then reopen ChatSnapAI.

Pro controls still look locked

Open the license area in ChatSnapAI and confirm the license is activated on this device. If you recently purchased Pro, enter the license key from the purchase-complete flow.

You reached the device limit

A Pro license supports up to two activated devices. Deactivate an older device before adding another one, then retry activation.

An export did not download

Confirm the conversation was detected and the export scope contains messages. Also check whether your browser blocked or redirected the file download.

A platform changed its interface

ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini can update their web interfaces. If detection suddenly stops after a platform change, report it so the production adapter can be checked.

Still stuck?

Use the support form with the platform, what you expected to happen, and what you saw instead. You do not need to send private conversation content unless you intentionally choose to.
