Exporters that meter you to "3 PDFs a day" do it because their servers generate every export, and servers cost money per use. ChatSnapAI generates everything on your device — there's no per-export cost to us, so there's nothing to meter. Unlimited exports on both tiers, forever.

Yes — exactly like exporting. The scan looks for sensitive details (emails, phone numbers, SSNs, card and account numbers, API keys) using pattern-matching that runs entirely in your browser, and redaction masks them in a copy you review before saving. Nothing is uploaded to be scanned or redacted — there's no server in the path. Certified and Compliance exports add a tamper-evident SHA-256 fingerprint, also computed locally, so you can later prove a file wasn't altered.

Occasionally a platform update temporarily breaks an exporter — every exporter, not just ours. We run automated nightly checks against each platform so we usually know about breaking changes before users notice, and fixes ship fast. If something looks wrong, it's probably this; check back shortly or email us.

An optional way to load long ChatGPT conversations reliably: it retrieves the conversation from ChatGPT's own service using your existing login session — the same way the ChatGPT page itself loads your chat. That request goes only to ChatGPT. Nothing involves ChatSnapAI servers.
